How do I get my laptop working?
I've got a Toshiba Satellite something or other, its a pretty ancient piece of crap, and I gave it a good whacking the other day, just to the right of the touch pad, which switched it off. Now when I try to turn it on, the fan revs up like normal, but then after about two seconds stops and kinds of purrs quietly, and nothing comes up on the screen. Is this something minor that can be easily fixed, or have I completely knackered it?
if the BIOS doesn't even come up i'd say you "knachered" it
you can plug in an external monitor just to be sure it isn't just the LCD
